The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for an Accounts Payable Student, come grow with us! This is a 4 month student/co-op position starting ASAP in May 2026.

Reporting to the Canadian Accounting Manager this position plays a key role in supporting the accounts payable department and the timely payment of vendors. The successful applicant will assist in receiving, verifying and coding invoices, ensuring invoices are accurate and compliant with company policies, organize and file financial documents and assist with other ad hoc requests. The role will require a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or university accounting program
• Strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel
• Superior organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
• Ability to work under and to meet deadlines consistently
• Detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Prepares and processes purchase orders invoices and invoice journals timely and accurately
• Ensures purchase orders, receiving and invoices are matched and the input is accurate and expense accounting is correct
• Ensures that proper approvals are obtained
• Ensures filing is accurate and up-to-date
