About The Position

Residential Elevators is actively seeking the ideal candidate to fill the role of Accounts Payable Specialist. They must be a team player that must be willing to jump in and provide support wherever needed. Attention to detail and accuracy is the key to success in this role, also enjoying auditing numbers, as well as documenting facts. This role calls for someone who must be willing to call vendors to reconcile invoices, as well as able to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Requirements

• Accounting or bookkeeping background.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• QuickBooks experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Match invoices to purchase orders.
• Code invoices to the correct GL accounts and cost centers.
• Enter invoices into the ERP/accounting system.
• Prepare and schedule payments.
• Ensure payments are made within agreed terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve differences.
• Assist in month-end close.
• Review AP aging reports and investigate overdue items.
