The Accounts Payable Specialist partners with the AP Lead to ensure timely, accurate processing and payment of invoices in compliance with company policies. This role is integral to vendor relationships, internal financial operations, and month-end close — requiring strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience, with demonstrated ability to manage invoice volume, vendor relationships, and payment cycles
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered
Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a strong plus
Self-directed and solutions-oriented — comfortable identifying problems and proposing fixes without waiting to be asked
Collaborative communicator, able to partner effectively with stakeholders across all levels and departments
Exceptional accuracy and efficiency, with the critical thinking skills to support daily financial reporting with a high degree of precision

Responsibilities

Manage high-volume daily correspondence and document routing
Review and validate coding accuracy across all invoices
First point of contact for AP questions from vendors and internal teams
Execute vendor payments and corporate card settlements with remittance communications
Reconcile card transactions and maintain complete documentation
Prepare journal entries, AP reconciliations, 1099 filings, and ad hoc reporting
