About The Position

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role will process invoices, maintain vendor records, and support project accounting. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume AP, strong organizational skills, and be detail-oriented. This position is a full-time, on-site role in Knoxville, Tennessee. Requirements

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to maintain a Drug-free Workplace.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must be able to work as a team.
• Must be comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Must be able to sit or stand at a computer for 8 hours per day.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Construction accounting preferred.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred; equivalent AP experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Issue and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Process invoices in a timely manner.
• Resolve discrepancies and communicate with vendors and Project Managers.
• Maintain vendor records in COINS ERP.
• Ensure expense reports are completed on time.
• Help with annual and monthly closing and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with answering phones while the receptionist is on lunch or PTO.
• Assist AP Manager and Controller, as assigned.
