About The Position

Parametrix is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Corporate Finance team in Puyallup, Washington. This role supports a diverse range of clients, including municipalities, state and federal agencies, and tribes. The position offers a blend of in-office opportunities for training and mentorship, along with remote-work flexibility. The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Accounting and Finance Supervisor and be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient accounts payable processes that align with the company's commitment to client service and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and/or 3+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable role.
• Familiarity with GAAP, FAR compliance, and experience in expense reporting and payment processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with a service-minded approach.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in BST10 (or Deltek), Concur, Sage FAS, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams is preferred.
• AEC industry experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process a high-volume of invoices and ensure proper coding, approvals, and compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Reconcile bank accounts, handle ACH payments, and track fixed assets using BST10, Concur, Excel, and related software.
• Investigate discrepancies, research data, and elevate issues for resolution.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients to maintain relationships and provide exceptional support.
• Contribute to team success by meeting deadlines, enhancing processes, and upholding quality standards.
