About The Position
Under general supervision, performs a variety of specialized duties to support accounts payable functions for Washoe County; and performs related work as required. This is an Open Competitive/Countywide Promotional recruitment being conducted to fill a current full-time vacancy in the Washoe County Comptroller’s Office. The list established from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
Requirements
- Three years of full-time accounts payable experience or experience maintaining financial records and accounts; OR an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.
- Experience in Accounts Payable
- Attention to detail and maintain a high degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of specialized duties to support accounts payable functions for Washoe County.
- Maintains financial records and accounts.
Benefits
- Eligible employees may receive an annual merit increase of 5% until they reach the maximum salary for the classification.
- Veteran Point Eligible veterans who were honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces shall receive one (1) bonus point upon passing Open Competitive examinations only.
