About The Position

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s accounts payable and related treasury operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing. This role drives process optimization, system effectiveness (PeopleSoft), and internal controls while partnering cross-functionally with Procurement and Finance. The position also oversees key regulatory and reporting activities, including 1099 reporting and unclaimed property, and provides leadership in data analysis, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7-10 years of related experience, with 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Very proficient in Excel

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements, while proactively identifying and resolving workflow issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and leveraging PeopleSoft system capabilities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Oversee administration and optimization of the PeopleSoft Accounts Payable system, including development of queries, reporting, and data analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Partner with Procurement, Treasury, and cross-functional stakeholders to leverage payables data and support organizational objectives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of payments while maintaining strong internal controls over payment processing, banking activities, and fraud prevention.
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements, including 1099 processing and unclaimed property, and ensure the integrity of financial records and documentation.
  • Lead internal and external audit activities related to accounts payable and treasury operations, ensuring readiness and timely resolution of findings.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor Accounts Payable staff, and maintain department policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.
