About The Position

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), the Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for processing high-volume invoices and payments accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role supports financial operations by maintaining strong attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal education
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting field
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
  • Dependable with consistent attendance and responsiveness to direction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with accounting software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume invoice and payment data entry accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure payments are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Assist with month-end close processes, including flexible scheduling as needed
  • Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office tools to manage workflows
  • Apply basic accounting principles to daily tasks
  • Provide high-quality service to internal teams and external vendors
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization
  • Collaborate with team members to meet departmental goals and deadlines
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Accounts Payable and corporate objectives
