About The Position

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and people—ensuring financial operations run smoothly while supporting a collaborative, mission-driven organization. As Accounts Payable Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting continuous improvement of accounts payable systems and processes. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for vendors and staff, helping ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial transactions across the organization.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of accounts payable or accounting experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Excel (sorting, grouping, and basic functions).
  • Comfortable learning and working across multiple systems and software tools.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and interested in improving processes.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience.
  • Certificate or degree in accounting or related field (e.g., CAPP).
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or arts organization.

Responsibilities

  • Verify, process, and pay invoices, contracts, credit card charges, rent, and reimbursements with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Respond to accounts payable inquiries with professionalism and strong customer service.
  • Reconcile accounts, analyze expenditures, and prepare financial reports as needed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for company credit card holders and support related processes.
  • Maintain organized financial records, track 1099 vendors, and support annual tax reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP systems and workflows; support implementation of new tools and efficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate digital files and ensure proper documentation across accounting systems.
