About The Position

Regency Transportation & Warehousing is a family owned/operated logistics provider spanning the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Accounts Payable Clerk. This position is full-time and in-person at our corporate headquarters in Franklin, MA. This position is responsible for providing all aspects of the accounts payable functions.

Requirements

Proficiency in financial software (Great Plains a plus) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team interactions.
Familiarity with accounts payable best practices and process improvement strategies.
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Responsibilities

Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
Enter and process invoices in the accounting system for payment.
Facilitate payment to vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, review purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure payments are made accurately and within agreed-upon terms.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies professionally and efficiently.
Maintain positive relationships with employees and vendors.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain organized and accurate records of invoices, payments, and financial documents.
Assist with audits by providing requested accounts payable information.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve recurring issues and enhance overall process efficiency.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
