About The Position

The Accounts Payable Clerk will support accurate and timely accounts payable operations at Weir’s Candler, Florida location. This is a fully onsite, six-month contract role with minimal to no travel. The role includes processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, preparing payment batches, maintaining records, assisting with month-end close, and supporting audits. The employee is expected to demonstrate commitment to the company’s zero-harm behaviors and safety culture.

Requirements

At least 2 years of proven experience in accounts payable and reconciliation processes.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Professional phone and email etiquette.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with Sage or other accounting software is also valued.
Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with SAP or WBS systems.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering company environment.

Responsibilities

Capture and process supplier invoices in QuickBooks or similar accounting software, including coding, approvals, and matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
Perform supplier account reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and maintain current reconciliation schedules and documentation.
Prepare payment batches for approval and processing; ensure payments are made within agreed terms by check or EFT and maintain payment records and remittance advice.
Maintain organized accounts payable records and assist with month-end closing activities.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and following company policies.
Demonstrate commitment to zero-harm behaviors and contribute to the company’s safety culture.
