About The Position

Saturna Capital is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to provide day-to-day accounts payable processing, including receiving and validating vendor invoices, obtaining proper approvals, coding and entering invoices, preparing payment runs, maintaining accurate vendor records, supporting company credit card expense reporting, and assisting with other accounting and clerical duties as assigned. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, be able to explain complex issues in simple terms, be able to problem solve and work independently. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is team-oriented, detail-oriented and has great customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Strong MS Word and Excel skills; familiarity with Apple computers preferred
  • Obtain FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 within first 9 months of employment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an accounting and financial reporting setting
  • Candidates must successfully complete pre-employment requirements such as a logic test, background and credit check, and reference check

  • Familiarity with Apple computers

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices and employee reimbursement
  • Enter invoices and payables into the accounting system
  • Prepare weekly and ad hoc payment runs, including checks, ACH, and other electronic payments, and route checks for signatures as required
  • Collect, review, and verify corporate credit card statements and related receipts
  • Complete projects as assigned by management
  • Provide assistance to other departmental staff as needed
