About The Position

Armtec Inc., a leading manufacturer of water management and drainage solutions in Canada and a proud member of the WGI Westman Group Inc., is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for its Winnipeg facility. This role is responsible for reviewing all invoices and expenses to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely payment. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices and expenses, ensuring correct period recording, and will also complete necessary account reconciliations. Requirements

1 – 3 years progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Understanding of data privacy standards.
Proficiency with MS Office programs
Experience in a mid to large sized office.
Superior interpersonal skills, integrity and honesty.
Demonstrates confidence and a collaborative attitude with all team members.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Attention to detail and high level of mental concentration.
Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Match, code, process, post and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Monitor discount opportunities; schedule and prepare checks; resolve PO, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensure credit is received for outstanding memos; issue stop-payments or PO amendments.
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, maintain good vendor relations and solve problems.
Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Analyze invoice/expense reports; record entries, charge expenses to accounts and cost centers.
