About The Position

The Accounts Payable Associate will manage 150–200 invoices monthly, overseeing all aspects of Accounts Payable for both U.S. and international operations. This role ensures payments are accurate and timely, and requires collaboration with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights and support informed decision-making. The associate will work closely with the Comptroller to enhance accounting processes and support international banking activities, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and multi-entity financial structures.
  • Proficiency in AP and operational hands-on experience.
  • Experience in a project-based environment such as construction, engineering, architecture, or manufacturing.
  • Exposure to international banking operations and foreign account management is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve and streamline processes.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Strong preference for candidates from construction or general contracting environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage platforms, including Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate and/or Sage 100 Contractor is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle accounts payable for U.S. and international operations, ensuring timely and accurate payments to subcontractors, vendors, and business partners.
  • Collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide accurate cost data and financial insights.
  • Work closely with the Comptroller to maintain and enhance accounting processes and internal workflows.
  • Support international banking activities, including the setup and ongoing maintenance of overseas bank accounts.
  • Assist with job costing and project-level financial reporting across multiple active contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal contracting requirements, and applicable international accounting standards.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to modernize systems, improve efficiency, and streamline financial data flows.
