Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk Location: Xenia, OH Type: Full-Time About Reptiles by Mack Reptiles by Mack is a leader in the exotic pet industry. What This Job Is This position helps manage the company’s money coming in and going out. You’ll: Pay our vendors on time Record customer payments Keep financial records organized and accurate If you’re detail-oriented, good with numbers, and like staying organized, this could be a great fit.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or working toward one)
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred (internships count!)
• Comfortable using Excel
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Professional communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of basic accounting rules (GAAP)
• Experience working in a growing company
• Interest in improving systems and processes

Responsibilities

• Enter and process vendor invoices
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
• Prepare weekly payments (checks, ACH, wires)
• Fix billing errors with vendors
• Help with month-end closing tasks
• Post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit cards)
• Follow up on past-due accounts
• Help resolve customer billing questions
• Reconcile accounts
• Assist with bookkeeping and recordkeeping
• Help prepare documents for audits
• Work with other departments to improve processes
