About The Position

This position exists to provide financial accounting and reporting services in support of the mission of CDPHE. The services provided include: accounts payable processing and approvals, general ledger, indirect cost recovery assessment, reporting and analysis, enforcement of the state and federal fiscal rules and regulations, department policies and procedures and application of accounting standards as set forth by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). This position supports the accounts payable staff of all divisions of the department, providing guidance and document approval throughout.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of relevant experience in professional accounts payable accounting experience.
  • A combination of related education in Accounting (coursework requires 27 semester hours completed in accounting or auditing) and/or relevant experience in professional accounts payable accounting experience equal to four (4) years.
  • Current, valid licensure as a CPA by the Colorado Board of Accountancy will substitute for four (4) years of education.
  • Must substantiate minimum qualifications when filling out the Work Experience section of the application.
  • Part-time work will be prorated when determining whether minimum qualifications are met.
