About The Position

The Accounting & Title Professional supports the dealership’s accounting operations, including Pennsylvania registration paperwork, payment processing and receipting, daily cash reconciliations, accounting schedules, and financial reporting. This position helps maintain accurate accounting records, effective internal controls, and reliable financial information. The Accounting & Title Professional will also support compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, applicable laws and regulations, and company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, organized, and committed to protecting customer information and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain Pennsylvania registration paperwork.
  • Assist with Pennsylvania title and registration processing.
  • Process payments, receipts, and related documentation.
  • Reconcile daily cash deposits and prepare bank deposits.
  • Reconcile accounting schedules and make correcting entries as needed.
  • Review general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting or correcting journal entries.
  • Post journal entries in accordance with company procedures.
  • File Pennsylvania sales tax, PTA, and VRT tax reports.
  • Report financial and transactional information to management regularly.
  • Provide managers with updates regarding work status and outstanding items.
  • Respond to departmental requests for accounting information and support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential customer and dealership records.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and dealership standards.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the dealership management system and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, managers, and outside partners.
  • Participate in required company meetings and training programs.
  • Take part in cross-training initiatives that support team development.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
