About The Position

McGregor Baptist Church is seeking an Accounting Technician to join their Accounting Department. The role involves full-cycle accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Contributions, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and account reconciliations using computerized church software. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing deposits and making bank trips throughout the week. This position requires a Christ-like work environment with an understanding of confidentiality.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to type at least 45 WPM.
• Ability to use a calculator.
• Must be organized.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Must be suited to work in a Christ-like environment with an understanding of the need for confidentiality.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Processing the full cycle of accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Contributions, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and account reconciliations using computerized church software.
• Preparing deposits.
• Making trips to the bank throughout the week.
