About The Position

We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our Finance team in our Montreal Office! As an Accounting Technician Finance division, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality service to clients, colleagues, and insurers. Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • College degree (DEC) in accounting
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English as the candidate will be required to interact in English with stakeholders (colleagues and clients) outside Quebec
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite especially Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of transactions to process
  • Ability to work well independently, in a team and with other members throughout the organization
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and precision are essential

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and issue checks to accounts payable to Insurance Companies
  • Issue checks to external brokers
  • Reconcile the auxiliary accounts payable to the general ledger
  • Provide support to team members
  • Carry out other related tasks and projects
