About The Position

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician, Bank, on a full-time permanent basis with our Corporate Accounting team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. If you take pride in accuracy, have great attention to detail, strong reconciliation skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment this opportunity is for you. Previous bank reconciliation experience is an asset.

Requirements

• Have a high school diploma, four progressive accounting courses from an accredited post-secondary institution and a minimum of one year of relevant accounting experience.

• Previous bank reconciliation experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Process daily banking transactions including Direct Cheque and EFT files and resolve any issues with the bank as they arise.
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts daily, ensuring balances are accurate and discrepancies are investigated and resolved in collaboration with Finance.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for 20+ bank accounts, complete journal entries, and support external audit requirements.
• Contribute to financial system projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Other duties as required.
