Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or information systems and six (6) or more years of experience in financial systems with four (4) or more years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting information systems, ERP technologies, and accounting modules.
  • Proven project management experience and proficient training skills.
  • Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, data analytics & solutions, and business intelligence tools.
  • Proficiency in process automation (e.g., AP automation, workflow tools).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective written and verbal communication.
  • Strong attention to details, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and master various in-house software applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software applications.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate accounting and financial operations to identify system improvements, process efficiencies, and automation opportunities at the strategic level.
  • Assess department‑wide accounting operations and collaborate with Controllers/Managers to optimize workflows, standardize processes, and implement new system functionality.
  • Direct and review research on financial record‑keeping and reporting requirements and ensure systems meet organizational, compliance, and reporting needs.
  • Review and evaluate accounting software performance, database integrity, and system effectiveness; recommend and direct upgrades and improvements.
  • Oversee financial system projects, ensuring proper scoping, requirements alignment, documentation quality, testing strategy, and implementation readiness.
  • Oversee integration of financial systems with enterprise applications such as ERP, payroll, procurement, and reporting tools.
  • Direct troubleshooting of system issues affecting accounting processes and financial reporting.
  • Oversee evaluation of accounting and internal control systems and ensure financial systems support compliance, controls, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure maintenance of system documentation, SOPs, user guides, and training materials; oversees change management and user acceptance testing processes.
  • Oversee and direct training efforts related to systems, reporting practices, and updated processes.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor complex system projects, implementations, and upgrades. Oversee timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide oversight for stakeholder communication and ensure consistent messaging regarding system or process changes.
  • Develop long-term strategies for financial system enhancements and modernization.
  • Promote and lead a culture of continuous improvement by establishing standards, prioritizing initiatives, and overseeing process improvement activities across departments.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and ERP innovations; evaluate relevance and recommend adoption strategies for the organization.
  • Partner with IT leadership to advance projects, improve existing systems, support integrations, strengthen data governance, and develop new technology solutions.
  • Coordinate communication with senior leadership regarding major projects and strategic system or process changes.
  • Supervise and provide leadership, coaching, and support to the Accounting Systems Analyst.
  • Responsible for assigning work, reviewing performance, providing training, and supporting professional development of direct reports.
