About The Position

The Accounting Systems Clerk supports the day-to-day operation of the organization’s accounting and financial systems. This role performs recurring system monitoring, application administration, exception follow-up, testing, and documentation to help ensure accounting processes are completed timely and accurately. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in multiple systems, and able to follow established procedures while coordinating with Accounting, IT, and other departments.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, relevant coursework, or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in accounting operations, audit, administrative support, or a systems support role preferred.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting applications such as Dynamics 365 Finance, Concur, or BlackLine is preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills and the ability to work accurately with detailed financial data.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, manage recurring deadlines, and escalate exceptions appropriately.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with accounting processes, internal controls, Power Automate, or system integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document accounting integrations, systems, and scheduled processes
  • Perform routine administrative maintenance for various accounting applications.
  • Research system exceptions, correct approved issues, and escalate more complex problems to senior team members or IT.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Support user acceptance testing and document test results for system and workflow changes.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, checklists, and training materials for recurring system processes.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, IT, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
  • Identify repetitive processes that may be candidates for standardization or automation.
