About The Position

The Accounting Systems Administration Manager is responsible for managing the administration of the company's enterprise resource planning system (ERP) and training users in its use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • 7-9 years of accounting and reporting experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of the chart of accounts, general ledger, trial balance, and financial statements, as well as of financial statement preparation, GAAP, and internal control policies and procedures, is required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry professionals.
  • Management ability to direct, guide, motivate, and develop staff.
  • Ability to prioritize for self and others, strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to define problems, organize efficient solutions, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Displays teamwork by balancing team and individual responsibilities.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel is required.
  • Requires an innovative, highly motivated individual who is detail-oriented, a self-starter, takes initiative, and can lead a team.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the administration of the ERP's general ledger (GL) module.
  • Analyzes and improves accounting and reporting processes that use the ERP GL.
  • Assists other teams in data integration, consolidating new acquisitions, and other entities transitioning to the ERP.
  • Assists in implementing other integrations that impact the ERP GL.
  • Develops and maintains ERP training materials, including written documentation and video courses.
  • Schedules and maintains daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual routines as required.
  • Serves as a resource for other department heads, superiors, peers, and employees.
  • Delegates authority to supervisory staff for task details to facilitate the smooth flow of services.
  • Serves as liaison with external consultants on all ERP GL-related matters.
  • Performs critical monthly closing tasks to support the preparation of consolidated financial reporting packages.
