About The Position

BCP is a locally owned and operated organization in Banff, Canadian Rockies, offering hotels, restaurants, and visitor experiences. The Accounting Supervisor will join the finance team, owning key accounting processes, supporting month-end and year-end close, and providing guidance to the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial records. Requirements

  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel skills required)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Internship or previous work experience in an accounting role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and review the general ledger, ensuring transactions are accurate and complete
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities
  • Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and budget preparation
  • Identify opportunities improve processes and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Support the Controller with special projects, audits, and reporting as needed
