About The Position

The Accounting Supervisor oversees daily accounting operations and supports the Controller in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process efficiency. This role manages key accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting support, and audit coordination, while also supervising the accounting team. The position plays an important role in maintaining strong internal controls and driving continuous improvement across financial processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–7 years of accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong ability to manage high-volume workloads and meet multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and task management skills
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of current tax regulations

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, including assigning tasks and reviewing work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins, team meetings, mid-year reviews, annual performance appraisals, and objective setting.
  • Post payroll-related journal entries and collaborate with HR to calculate payroll accruals.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and all applicable confidentiality and privacy regulations (including PAP requirements).
  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including monthly close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of monthly P&L statements with variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit periodic financial reports required by headquarters through CIS.
  • Assist with the preparation of PIV and EVP/commitment presentations.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Prepare, review, and validate balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and support budget and forecast planning processes.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s fleet program.
  • Support mid-year and year-end intercompany reconciliations, including preparation and posting of Period 13 (P13) journal entries.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax worksheets for mid-year and year-end closes.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects as assigned by management.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required documentation and support to auditors.
