Requirements

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Spclt Acctg - High school/GED and 2 years of experience in accounting/Bookkeeping.
  • Spclt Acctg Sr - High school/GED and 3 years of experience in accounting/Bookkeeping.
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.
  • Experience with handling complex tasks.
  • Knowledge of general office duties
  • Knowledge of accounting principles related to classifying, recording, and summarizing data
  • Knowledge of making computations to compile and keep financial records.
  • Knowledge of examining and analyzing accounting records for purposes of preparing statements and reports.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business
  • Experience with account reconciliation.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel
  • Working Knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Working Knowledge of OKCorral
  • Working Knowledge of OSU Banner systems including finance, HR, and student systems.
  • Working Knowledge of OSU forms such as travel, foundation, and payroll.
  • Working Knowledge of OSU policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a backup resource for financial and administrative operations across the Spears School of Business and assist with training new support staff.
  • Support the onboarding of student employees, graduate assistants, and lecturers.
  • Process purchase requests, foundation vouchers, and other business transactions as needed. Assist with reconciliations and QuickBooks entry.
  • Review travel requests and vouchers for accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a resource on university travel policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to departments and centers during staffing shortages, employee absences, or periods of increased workload.
  • Assist the Accountant III with projects.
