About The Position

Join our dynamic team at HomeTown Credit Union at our Bridge Street Branch in Owatonna, MN, as a full-time Accounting Specialist and embark on an exciting career journey! As our Accounting Specialist, you'll handle essential daily accounting functions that keep our Credit Union running smoothly, from accurately entering transactions and balancing key accounts to managing accounts payable and completing reconciliations. You'll partner closely with our Controller on internal and external audits, provide timely support to staff and members, and play an active role in enhancing our processes. Your insights and recommendations will help strengthen our operations and advance the Credit Union's mission and vision. In this onsite role, you'll not only enhance your skills but also build meaningful relationships within the community. With a starting pay between $22.25 - $27.50 per hour, your career will thrive in an environment centered around integrity and excellence. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications-including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Proficiency in 10-key data entry by touch

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a financial institution is preferred
