This Accounting Specialist position is an hourly role within the Finance Department.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least three years office/clerical experience
Strong mathematical skills
Must be able to prioritize schedules, work independently and follow instructions
Good written and oral communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Proficient in Excel

Nice To Haves

Associate degree a plus
Microsoft D365 experience highly desirable

Responsibilities

Daily application of incoming customer payments
Generate customer invoices for various monthly billings
Perform AR collection duties for specific portfolio of customer accounts
Maintain vendor invoice log
Ensures proper documentation and accuracy of invoices/expense reports/etc.
Code invoices to general ledger account
Input invoices into accounting system
Processing of the A/P payments and prepare the batch for transmission to the bank
Purchase Order Processing
Update and print 1099’s
Respond to all incoming phone calls and emails in a timely manner
Assist with training and service desk support related to AR and AP functions as needed
Reviewing stale checks for unclaimed property reporting
All other duties as assigned
