About The Position

Home Instead is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their Corporate Finance team in Green Bay. This position will primarily focus on payroll processing for over 1,500 employees across multiple states, while also offering opportunities to assist with broader accounting tasks, workflow improvements, and support for payroll and HR systems. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or finance, with a commitment to the company's core value of Love (v.).

Requirements

Experience in accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, finance, or a related administrative role
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Experience with payroll software such as UKG is helpful but not required
Multi-state payroll experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

Support payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
Review employee information and payroll data for accuracy
Assist with new hires, employee changes, and payroll updates
Help research and resolve payroll questions and discrepancies
Provide friendly, timely support to employees and managers
Assist with payroll reporting and compliance activities
Help improve payroll and accounting processes
Learn and support our UKG Pro payroll and HR system
Partner with Finance and HR on special projects and other accounting-related responsibilities as needed
