About The Position

Eventide is hiring an Accountant with a payroll focus. This position will also provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn our HRIS system that manages the payroll and benefit functions.

Responsibilities

Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Process payroll bi-weekly for hourly and salaried employees.
Reconcile payroll prior to payment and confirm reports.
Understand proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.
Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
Process accurate and timely quarterly and year-end reporting.
Ensure that all tax deposits are made timely.
Process manual checks as defined in Eventide’s policy.
Compile and submit payroll deductions related check requests and payments.
Maintain current knowledge of IRS regulations.
Provide support, assistance and information to employees and departments in all aspects that relate to payroll.
Apply applicable payroll regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
Prepare, generate, and maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
Work closely with other finance staff to ensure that payroll data is correctly coded.
