About The Position

We're looking for a detail-oriented Payroll + Accounting Specialist to oversee payroll processing for multiple companies while supporting accounting functions related to payroll and employee benefits. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing recurring payroll responsibilities with accounting projects, and takes pride in getting the details right.

Requirements

2+ years of payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping experience
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and payroll/accounting software
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines

Nice To Haves

Experience processing payroll for multiple companies or locations
Experience with ADP or similar payroll software
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

Process payroll for multiple companies accurately and on schedule
Enter payroll changes including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, deductions, garnishments, commissions, bonuses, and PTO
Review payroll reports to ensure accuracy before processing
Maintain employee payroll records and documentation
Assist employees and managers with payroll-related questions
Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies
Reconcile benefit invoices and payroll-related accounts
Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end reporting
Support general accounting and reconciliation activities
Work closely with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy
Assist with insurance audits and payroll reporting as needed
Help identify opportunities to improve payroll and accounting processes
