Accounting Specialist
About The Position
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support their growing team. If you thrive in a hands-on role, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in keeping financials accurate and organized, this could be an excellent opportunity for you. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting full-cycle accounting functions while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This is a highly collaborative position where you’ll work across departments and assist with everything from daily transactions to month-end processes and reporting.
Requirements
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online, including AP/AR, billing, collections, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with solid general ledger and journal entry.
- Understanding financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet) and month-end processes.
- Experience supporting tax preparation and working with CPAs.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with contract language, compliance (CSLB), and corporate documentation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage billing, collections, and full-cycle accounts payable /receivable processes.
- Perform bank credit card and AR/AP reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and post journal entries and support general ledger maintenance.
- Maintain financial records and reporting using QuickBooks Online.
- Assist with the month-end close and support tax preparation by gathering and reviewing documentation.
