About The Position

DC Group Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Accounting Specialist to join their team in Minneapolis, MN. This role is an important part of the accounting department and is responsible for coordinating and processing daily and periodic invoices. Requirements

• 2-year degree or two years of relevant work experience

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage billing for service contracts by generating invoices according to contract schedules and billing deadlines
• Verify service completion, contract coverage, contract notes, contract billing lines, taxes, and other billing requirements before invoicing
• Submit customer invoices through email and online portals and investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
• Work with colleagues to track unbilled services and coordinate with other departments for resolving billing issues and bottlenecks
• Ensure timely delivery of customer invoices
• Follow up with customers to complete payments within agreed terms
• Research late payments and effectively communicate issues to Controller and Director of Finance
• Answer incoming calls to the accounting department
• Assist accounting department with monthly reports
• Special projects as assigned by management
