About The Position

This role is responsible for a variety of accounting tasks related to operational expenditures (OPEX). The specialist will process invoices, prepare payment batches, review expense reports, reconcile accounts, and manage various schedules related to expenses and fixed assets. The position also involves performing month-end closing procedures, preparing financial statements, and analyzing spending trends. The company provides an extensive training program, and equivalent experience will be considered.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field (Finance, Economics, or Statistics preferred). Equivalent experience and a strong knowledge of accounting principles may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 1–3 years of experience in an applicable field is required. H Mart provides an extensive training program, and candidates with equivalent office experience will be considered
  • General understanding of accounting processes and functions
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Must speak, read, and write Korean; basic English comprehension required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computerized accounting systems is a plus (SAP R/3 or S/4HANA Cloud preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Review and process invoices and related cover sheets from various departments and input all data in accounting system (SAP S/4 HANA)
  • Preparing operational expenditure payment batch
  • Reviewing and verifying expense reports for various departments to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policies
  • Reconciling operational expense accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies
  • Managing prepaid expense, accrued expense, prepayment or deposit and accrued account schedule
  • Managing and tracking corporate fixed asset with depreciation schedule
  • Managing, monitoring and reconciling operational support inventory
  • Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements related to operation expenses, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Analyze spending trends and variances to identify areas for cost reduction or improvement
  • Other special projects as assigned
