About The Position

The Accounting Rotational Program is designed to accelerate the development of high-potential early career professionals by providing broad exposure to core accounting functions within a fast-growing, private equity-backed renewable energy company. Participants will rotate through key areas of accounting, gaining hands-on experience, building technical capability, and developing a strong understanding of how accounting supports business performance, compliance, and decision-making. This program is structured to build foundational expertise while identifying individuals who can grow into future roles within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field such as finance
  • Foundational understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn across multiple areas of accounting
  • Accountability and ownership of work
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Interest in renewable energy and infrastructure-based business models
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (e.g., master’s in accounting, MBA)
  • Progress toward CPA certification or intent to pursue
  • Internship experience in accounting, audit, or finance
  • Experience with or exposure to financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) and/or advanced Excel-based analysis

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Assist in variance analysis and financial statement review
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting requirements
  • Support audit preparation and documentation
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Process invoices and support vendor management activities
  • Improve efficiency and accuracy in payment processes
  • Partner with Procurement and Operations teams
  • Track capital expenditures across renewable energy projects
  • Support asset capitalization and depreciation processes
  • Partner with Development and Operations on project cost tracking
  • Support SOX/internal controls processes and documentation
  • Assist with compliance reporting and process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and reduce risk
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Support system enhancements (e.g., Workday, reporting tools)
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects impacting Accounting and Finance
