About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Project Manager to partner with our Merchandising team to translate vendor allowance agreements into system requirements. This role involves supporting business process design, enhancing standardization, automation, and implementing improved controls. You will ensure system functionality supports accurate accounting, billing, reconciliation, and reporting of vendor allowances.

Requirements

• Expertise in accounting, financial statement analysis, and balance sheets.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, bank reconciliation, and general ledger management.
• Experience with journal entries and month-end close processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with over 7 years of experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Strong understanding of accounting, reconciliations, financial controls, and month-end close.
• Experience with vendor allowances is required.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in retail and familiarity with Oracle Retail/Oracle Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Merchandising to understand vendor allowance agreements and translate business needs into system requirements.
• Support the Business SME in current-state and future-state process design, identifying opportunities for standardization, automation, and improved controls.
• Ensure system functionality supports accurate calculation, accounting, billing, reconciliation, and reporting of vendor allowances.
• Coordinate requirements gathering, solution design, and business validation with Business SME and Technology.
• Establish appropriate accounting controls, approval workflows, and reconciliations.
• Audit reporting and KPIs to monitor vendor allowance accuracy, exceptions, and overall process performance.
• Provide regular project updates and communicate key risks, decisions, and progress to leadership.
