About The Position

The Accounting Operations Supervisor oversees daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing, while improving financial processes and reporting accuracy. They work closely within the accounting team and other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in accounting operations or management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, including journal entries, general ledger, and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Support day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.
  • Oversee daily cash clearing transactions and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reviews Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepares operating accruals.
  • Records marketplace settlements (Shop Simon, The Real Real, Farfetch etc.).
  • Reconciles American Express account.
  • Approves Vendors.
  • Maintains company approval matrix.
  • Bad debt calculation and journal entry.
  • Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation.
  • Create reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff (AP/AR specialists).
  • Stay up to date with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Ensure the organization complies with financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiently use accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel, SAP).
  • Learn and adapt to new accounting software as needed.
