About The Position

The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax filings, and project budgeting. This role collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial planning, cost tracking, and project profitability. The position suits a hands-on accounting professional who communicates clearly, exercises sound financial judgment, and works effectively with multiple departments.

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets for projects.
  • Experience preparing and coordinating tax filings.
  • Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Sound financial judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Coordinate and manage all tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor budgets for company projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and other departments to support accurate financial planning and forecasting.
  • Track and analyze project costs to support profitability and effective resource allocation.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage month-end accounting activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing Department and Engineering team to provide financial insights and support project planning.
  • Use QuickBooks and Excel to maintain, analyze, and report on financial data.
  • Communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
