About The Position

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting
  • Proven experience as an accounting manager or financial controller (at least 5 years) within a professional service environment
  • CPA professional designation
  • Solid skills in financial analysis, budget management and In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial standards
  • Leadership skills with demonstrated experience in team management
  • Bilingual in French and English, with very strong English skills spoken and written (frequent communications with team members in Toronto and with various stakeholders in Canada and the U.S.)
  • Strong attention to detail, effective priority management, organizational skills, and autonomy
  • Team spirit and strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), accounting softwares, experience and interest in ERP system implementation

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting periodic financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) in compliance with accounting standards
  • Overseeing the full accounting cycle
  • Participating in the annual budgeting process, including preparation, review, analyzing and monitoring of budgets
  • Ensuring timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities, supporting cash management and liquidity operations
  • Managing corporate tax compliance with external advisors for Canadian and U.S. companies
  • Acting as a resource person for professionals and internal partners
  • Actively contributing with various stakeholders to the continuous improvement of processes
  • Supporting ERP implementation and stabilization while managing and mentoring accounting staff
