About The Position

EEA Companies is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead technical accounting and the monthly close across a diverse portfolio, including real estate, hospitality, software, family office activity, and investment entities. You will partner with the CFO and staff accountants to strengthen reconciliations, improve close quality, standardize accounting practices, and support timely, accurate financial reporting across multiple entities. This is a hands-on leadership role with meaningful day-to-day ownership. The CFO will retain final review, strategic oversight, tax and compliance leadership, and external advisor coordination, while you serve as the primary technical accounting lead for the team. As the structure continues to evolve, this role offers a clear path to grow into a Controller-level position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, or similar role preferred.
  • Strong month-end close experience, including reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and close workpapers.
  • Multi-entity accounting experience is strongly preferred, including intercompany accounting and fixed assets.
  • Revenue recognition experience required (especially software/SaaS, hospitality, or contract-based environments).
  • Experience supporting audit and tax schedules and responding to external advisor requests.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on, lean accounting environment.

  • Lead revenue recognition processes and policy application, particularly for software and hospitality operations where timing and classification require added judgment.
  • Support fixed asset accounting by establishing capitalization standards, reviewing additions and disposals, and ensuring depreciation is recorded accurately.
