The Accounting Manager in the North America (“NAMER”) Controllership team is responsible to manage and own various responsibilities related to closing the general ledger for entities based in our North America region. This will include working with various stakeholders (both internal and outsourced) to achieve timely and accurate results and utilizing strong technical accounting skills to ensure that transactions are appropriately accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The other core responsibility is managing and reviewing in-depth account reconciliations for the balance sheet. Manage various resource teams around multiple accounting processes in order to complete period end closes. The goal would be to learn and understand a process from beginning to end and then manage the process and address issues as they arise. Prepare and/or review both recurring and adjusting journal entries as necessary. Review and approve transactions and monthly/quarterly consolidation accounting tasks including intercompany-related activity. Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations. Coordinate directly external auditors and internal auditors with their reviews of various journal entries and/or account reconciliations. Train other NAMER Controllership team members to perform their roles & functions as needed. Assist in any other special projects as requested. Manager needed for NAMER GL team to supervise accounting for GSL and NAMER GL projects and responsibilities.
