About The Position

This is a high-impact opportunity as the first dedicated Accounting & Finance hire, offering significant ownership and exposure across the entire business. As the Manager of General Ledger - Manufacturing will be the foundational leader of our financial operations, responsible for building the systems, processes, and team that will support Crusoe Industries rapid scaling. As a key strategic partner to leadership, you will move beyond standard accounting to architect a modern, AI-enabled finance team in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a technical expert with a "builder mindset" who thrives in fast-evolving environments and is comfortable creating internal controls and reporting structures from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA are required.
  • 8+ years of prior work experience; public accounting experience is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and extensive experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven success in creating efficiencies, systems, and controls in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing, complex legal/reporting structures experience is a significant plus.
  • This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own key corporate accounting areas, including expense accruals, reconciliations, accounts payable and complex balance sheet and P&L accounts.
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accurate and timely results in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance scalability and close efficiency using modern finance tools.
  • Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting, including control design, documentation, and remediation of deficiencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external and internal auditors, managing the relationship and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Lead and develop a team of corporate accounting professionals, providing oversight, coaching, and performance management.
