About The Position

LSPedia is looking for an Accounting Manager who thrives in a fast-moving SaaS environment and wants to play a key role in building and scaling our accounting function. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with significant ownership and visibility. You’ll lead critical areas like revenue recognition, help build and improve processes, and partner across the business to support growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning complex accounting areas, improving how things work, and operating with a high level of autonomy.

Requirements

  • 7–12 years of accounting experience (mix of public accounting + industry strongly preferred)
  • Strong experience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses
  • Deep understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or similar)
  • Solid understanding of intercompany accounting and consolidations
  • Familiarity with state tax concepts (nexus, compliance)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership

Responsibilities

  • Own SaaS Revenue (ASC 606): Lead how we account for revenue across subscriptions, bundled offerings, and evolving contract structures. Review customer contracts and ensure alignment with ASC 606. Maintain and evolve SSP methodologies and revenue policies. Partner closely with Sales, Legal, and Operations to ensure deals are structured with accounting in mind. Own the monthly revenue close, including reconciliations and audit readiness. Ensure revenue is recognized accurately and consistently as we scale. Manage commission accounting, including accruals and deferrals.
  • Drive the Close Process: Own key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations. Identify inefficiencies and improve close timelines and accuracy. Strengthen documentation, controls, and consistency across processes.
  • Intercompany & Consolidation: Manage intercompany activity across entities, including reconciliations and eliminations. Ensure alignment between entities and accuracy in consolidated reporting. Support foreign currency and CTA considerations as needed.
  • Support Tax & Compliance: Partner with external tax advisors on state and local compliance. Support nexus analysis and data preparation for filings and audits. Ensure alignment between financial reporting and tax requirements.
  • Build Systems & Scale Processes: Play a key role in ERP and system improvements (Dynamics 365, Maxio, etc.). Help translate accounting needs into scalable system workflows. Support system implementations, testing, and data integrity. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes.
  • General Accounting & Technical Areas: Support general ledger accuracy across key accounts. Manage capitalization of internally developed software. Research and document technical accounting topics as they arise. Support audits and ensure readiness throughout the year.
