Requirements

  • B. S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head.
  • Extensive knowledge of general and accounting
  • Excellent math skills; high aptitude for figures
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational ability
  • Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.
  • Effective supervisory skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software, Excel workbooks and word processing software.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for review of statistical and other financial records and information.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities.
  • Monitor and review financial transactions.
  • Prepares Journal entries and maintain and reconcile accounts.
  • Monitors and reconciles cash account weekly.
  • Prepares and performs or assists with event settlements.
  • Assists with preparation of financial statements for the Client and Legends Global Corporate, and other financial reports.
  • Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and operating expenses with proper documentation.
  • Verifies and checks the accuracy of general ledger coding.
  • Directs and participates in data analyses and reporting.
  • Works with auditors in verifying financial information/procedures.
  • Maintains and improves established financial system controls.
  • Analyses and reviews financial statements with management.
  • Assists with annual budget preparation.
  • Assists with other duties related to venue management as assigned
  • Manage and develop Finance Department employees in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management activities for assigned staff.
  • Delegate responsibilities, monitor workflow, and ensure departmental objectives and deadlines are achieved.
  • Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations matters, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented team environment.
