About The Position

Corrpro Canada is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. Corrpro Canada is a technology-enabled Cathodic Protection services company that provides construction, inspection, engineering, materials management and custom software and hardware to deliver innovative and data-driven corrosion management solutions. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of direct experience in accounting capacity.
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong diplomatic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to handle late payments and delinquent accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Strong knowledge of payment regulations and fair credit practices.
  • Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.
  • Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information, and preparing financial reports.
  • Able to perform moderate to complex account reconciliations.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Candidate must be customer focused, have good communication skills, and understand quality orientation.
  • Candidates should work well in team environments to be able to solve problems, be accountable and dependable.

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Business Central or similar ERP system is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee the general ledger including preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, account analysis
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff (Accounts Payable and Staff Accountant)
  • Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner, with a high degree of respect for all existing and potential customers
  • Ad hoc reporting as required
  • Other duties as assigned
