Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Financial Controller within a corporate environment
  • Professional CPA designation
  • Financial analysis and budget management skills, with in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Leadership skills with experience in team management
  • Bilingual in French and English, with excellent written and verbal proficiency in English (frequent interactions with stakeholders across Canada)
  • High level of professionalism, ability to effectively manage priorities, strong organizational skills, and autonomy
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as accounting software; experience with and interest in ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting periodic financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) in compliance with accounting standards
  • Overseeing the full accounting cycle
  • Managing and mentoring the accounting team
  • Supporting the final phase of the ERP system implementation
  • Participating in the annual budgeting process, including budget preparation, review, analysis, and monitoring
  • Ensuring timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities, supporting cash management and liquidity operations
  • Acting as a key resource for internal professionals and business partners
  • Collaborating closely with various stakeholders to drive continuous process improvement
