About The Position

The Accounting Management Development Associate program is a full-time leadership development role designed to prepare future managers on the manufacturing side of Nestlé Purina’s business. Associates receive coaching and professional development while rotating through areas including finance and controls, supply chain, quality assurance, safety, engineering, production, R&D engineering, information systems, and operations performance. The role provides experience developing and maintaining accounting systems, procedures, controls, and audits, along with training across the inventory management controls department. The rotational program includes changes in location, with relocation assistance. The first rotation for this role begins at the Nestlé Purina factory in Davenport, Iowa; later rotations may be at any of the company’s 24 U.S. manufacturing sites.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, attained or expected by June 2027.
Must be open to relocation to any of the company’s 24 Nestlé Purina manufacturing sites across the U.S. as the program progresses.

Nice To Haves

Prior internship, co-op, practicum, or manufacturing experience.
Involvement in student organizations and/or other leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain communication with the Plant Manager, Department Managers, and Team Leaders about matters affecting factory accounting and controls.
Produce accurate and timely departmental training reports, including flow diagrams for the entire plant.
Develop working knowledge of inventory control systems, including input, internal-controls reporting capabilities, and analysis.
Assist with inventory reconciliations and participate in periodic inventories of raw materials and finished goods.
Perform month-end closing functions and prepare analysis reports.
Conduct audits and compliance testing.
