About The Position

The Accounting intern will manage assigned projects and support accounting team members with projects that align with the finance team’s priorities. The role contributes to the department by improving the quality and flow of information, building departmental culture, and promoting the adoption of new processes and tools. The internship program will be tailored to the intern’s qualifications and interests, with placement on an Accounting team that fits. Available teams include General Accounting, Derivatives, Cash Applications, Technical Accounting & Reporting, Fixed Assets, Retail Accounting, and Settlements Accounting.

Requirements

Major in Accounting, Finance, or another related field.
Understand Accounting and its concentrations.
Have advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
Have experience working on a team.
Communicate effectively and relate well to people at all levels.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, time-management skills, and a high level of integrity.
Use a consultative problem-solving approach.
Have a proven track record of success, a collaborative and participative style, and the ability to make presentations to Accounting staff.
Be a hands-on, enthusiastic, results-oriented analyst capable of adding value to the team.
Adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment, handle ambiguity, and take ownership of decision-making.

Responsibilities

Develop and present regular, timely reports and presentations, including illustrations and graphics of Accounting initiatives and associated business outcomes.
Gather data to support departmental and team reporting.
Recommend and design solutions to meet needs.
Manage assigned projects and support Accounting team members with projects aligned with finance team priorities.
