The Intern will perform basic financial functions in compliance with established processes and systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must
Minimum of 1year responsible accounting and/or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, bank reconciliation, expenditures, payroll and general ledger
Proficiency in ERP and MS Office
Basic knowledge of US GAAP is required
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
Ability to maintain confidential information
Outstanding written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Well organized, detail oriented
Nice To Haves
Master’s degree in accounting
Ability to process payroll is preferred
Active CPA license, or progress towards CPA licensure, is preferred
Prior experience in Life Science company preferred
Bilingual preferred (English & Chinese)
Responsibilities
Input financial transactions into the company’s ERP system in a timely manner to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate and up to date
Process vendor payments in a timely manner, including both electronic payments and check runs
Process reimbursement and credit card transactions for employee travel and other expenses
Support monthly close process by entering all Credit card charges, reimbursements and vendor bills incurred.
Process Accounts Payables and monthly accruals.
Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time
