About The Position

Four Hands is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience with accounting tasks and contribute to the organization while working alongside experienced accountants. The role covers credit application management, invoice processing, month-end close, and compliance with internal systems. The internship is expected to begin in January 2027 and run through the Spring 2027 term, ending in April 2027. The internship lasts 12 weeks and is on-site in Austin, Texas. The intern will learn about the sales and use tax lifecycle, customer credit applications, invoice processing, procurement compliance, cost center expenses, account reconciliations, and financial reporting cycles. They will also collaborate with functional leaders and cross-functional teams to help build efficient, scalable processes, and uphold Four Hands’ Core Values.

Requirements

Currently pursuing an accounting degree.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Exposure to Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Exposure to PowerBI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on exposure to the full sales and use tax lifecycle using Avalara.
Assist with managing customer credit applications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
Respond to customer requests by gathering and providing required documentation.
Support invoice processing, research discrepancies, and help troubleshoot issues.
Review procurement processes and documentation to help ensure compliance within the procurement system.
Review cost center expenses for accuracy and identify trends and insights.
Prepare account reconciliations using Blackline and submit them for review.
Participate in the month-end close process and learn about financial reporting cycles.
Collaborate with functional leaders and cross-functional teams to help build efficient, scalable processes.
Perform other duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications.
